SAJA EDWARDS

PHYSIOTHERAPIST (BKin, MPT)

Saja completed her Masters of Physiotherapy Degree at UBC following completion of her Bachelor’s of Kinesiology Degree in 2012. As a physiotherapist, she has completed the Orthopaedic Division Level 1, Anatomical Neuropathic IMS, the McKenzie Approach, and the Connect Therapy Sports Thorax. She has also done additional training in concussion management and pilates based rehab.

Saja grew up in Nelson, BC, where she developed a strong appreciation for the outdoors and the importance of living an active lifestyle. She grew up in the mountains, skiing, road and mountain biking, playing soccer, and trail running. Her interest in sports and healthcare, as well as her personal experiences with injury drew her to the physiotherapy profession. Saja lived in Squamish prior to completing her physiotherapy training where she worked closely with the cycling community, further developing her love and interest in both road and mountain biking.

In practice, Saja utilizes an individualized approach to care for each patient including manual therapy, soft tissue techniques, IMS, therapeutic exercise, and patient education. She believes in treating the whole person to make you stronger than before your injury and adapting the treatments to fit your goals and lifestyle.
