AYLA FLETCHER

PHYSIOTHERAPIST (BScPT, AN-IMS) & CLINICAL PILATES INSTRUCTOR

Ayla applies a holistic approach to treatment incorporating exercise rehabilitation, manual therapy techniques (massage, joint mobilizations, active release, mulligans), dry needling, intramuscular stimulation (IMS), Clinical Pilates, OOV stability training, shockwave therapy and activity modification programs to alleviate pain, restore function and enhance quality of life. Since completing her Physiotherapy Degree in Australia in 2014, Ayla has worked as a sports and MSK physiotherapist and Clinical Pilates instructor treating a range of injuries from traumatic/sporting injuries to autoimmune & chronic pain syndromes. She has worked as a physiotherapist with professional and semi-professional sporting teams including the Western Force, Freestyle Canada, Perth Soccer Club and Nedlands Rugby Union Football Club and provided Clinical Pilates training to Canada’s High Performance Mogul’s Team. In 2016 – 2017 Ayla completed her Levels 1 and 2 Sports Physiotherapy Certificates through the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA).

Ayla uses a variety of assessment techniques to determine not only a diagnosis, but the many contributing factors that can contribute to pain and pathology. She believes in the importable of client education and teaches each client how to rehabilitate their body as well as how to prevent future injuries. In addition to hands on treatment, Ayla may address posture, body alignment, movement patterns and lifestyle factors found to be contributing to injury and impairment. Through her work, her focus has been on training people from early intervention right through to pain-free, high-level sports participation. In her time outside of the clinic, you will find Ayla rock climbing, canoeing, hiking or snowboarding.
