TELEHEALTH

We want to continue to support our clients, in light of the COVID-19 crisis. We want you to keep moving and stay healthy, as such, we are continuing to provide physiotherapy consults through online and telephone appointments, known as Telehealth. We can provide movement assessments, rehab training programs, exercise programs, as well as education or advice surrounding your injury.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

For Telehealth appointments we use Physitrack, a physiotherapy-specific online platform used for delivering physiotherapy services throughout the world. Physitrack uses encrypted communication to ensure your appointment is safe and secure.  If you are not set up for video conferencing or would prefer just to talk, we are also providing Telehab appointments with only phone consultations. 
When you book your appointment, you will be emailed a confirmation of your appointment time. If you would prefer a different time slot that is not posted or a telephone consultation, please email your physiotherapist to make the arrangements. If you are a new client, please ensure your intake form  is filled out well before your appointment time so your physiotherapist can be well prepared for the appointment.
At the time of your appointment, your physiotherapist will email you a link to join your appointment online. Click that link, follow the prompts and away we go!

WHAT DO I NEED AT MY END?

Your smart phone, tablet or computer with a webcam. As long as you have a camera, a microphone and access to the internet, we can provide Telehealth services. The link will direct you to Physitrack’s app – Physiapp. If you don’t have access to the internet, we can also set up a phone call consult as an alternative.

HOW DO I PAY FOR TELEHEALTH?

All Telehealth appointments require a credit card be on file before your appointment starts. This can be done through your online profile. Your credit card will not be charged until the time of your appointment.

CAN I USE EXTENDED HEALTH INSURANCE?

Some extended health insurance covers Telehealth while others do not. While we do direct billing for in-person appointments, we do not do direct billing for Telehealth appointments as we don’t have reception as we are not operating out of our clinic.

WHAT ABOUT ICBC APPOINTMENTS?

ICBC has indicated they may approve Telehealth on a case by case basis. Please contact your ICBC case manager for details.
